The Oregon Management Internship is a program of the Oregon Independent College Foundation. The OICF is managed by a Board of Trustees that consists of the presidents of the ten member colleges and universities, as well as a group of business and community leaders. The OICF Career Task Force directs the content and focus of the Oregon Management Internship.
Decisions about the internship tracks for the summer of 2006 were determined via an August 2005 survey of 100 human resource managers in the greater Portland area. Out of 18 proposed tracks, the five tracks receiving the greatest number of votes included: Finance/Accounting, Project Management, Customer Service, Data/Office Management, and Human Resources. Additional tracks may be added in future years based on input from sponsoring organizations.
